Roger Smith Guest Artist |
| Roger is an exhibiting member of the Royal Art Society of New South Wales. His main interest is landscape painting in watercolour. Over the past few years he has exhibited in several exhibitions in N.S.W; and has been regularly represented in the annual Australian Watercolour Institute exhibitions. Roger initially studied under Fritz Gross (Art Director of the Vienna Opera House), with a further year studying theatrical design at the Theatre Royal Windsor in the UK. His progress was interrupted by service in the forces, until his move to Australia in 1960. Since then he has studied with John Santry, Fred Bates, and with Molly Flaxman, all of the Royal Art Society and Australian Watercolour Institute. Roger's style and achievements are clearly his own and several of his works are now held in private overseas collections. Roger was President of the Central Coast Watercolour Society 1990/91. |
