The Central Coast Watercolour Society offers a range of classes designed to help artists at all levels explore and develop their watercolour skills. Whether you’re just starting or looking to refine your technique, our classes provide a supportive and creative environment to learn. With expert tuition and all materials provided, you can focus on discovering the joy of watercolour painting.
Watercolour Classes for Beginners
The Central Coast Watercolour Society is offering a series of classes designed specifically for beginners eager to explore the art of watercolour painting. Each class consists of three lessons, held throughout the year, and is open to everyone – you do not need to be a member of the Society to participate. All materials will be provided, making it easy to dive right into learning without the need to bring anything along. Instruction will be led by one of our highly experienced Society members and artists, ensuring that you receive quality guidance in a supportive environment.
Intermediate Watercolour Classes
For those ready to take the next step, the Society is offering a two-day workshop aimed at new watercolourists looking to transition into our regular workshops. This intermediate class is an excellent follow-up to the beginners’ series, providing a deeper dive into techniques and practices. Tuition will be given by Krista Brennan, a highly experienced tutor from Sydney Art School. Learn more about Krista and her work here.

The Society is offering a series of classes for beginners to watercolour painting. Classes consist of a series of 3 lessons and are held throughout the year.

Time: 9:30am -12:30pm (Arrive 9:15am to allow for setting up.)

Preference will be given to those who can attend all three classes in the selected option.

The Society is offering this Intermediate watercolour course not just a transition from our beginners course to regular weekend workshops, is also a great refresher course for all. The how, when and why of using watercolours will be exposed. You will love learning about the magic of your paints and papers. It’s an all round winner you can repeat often and still learn something new every time.
The classes are open to all, but members of the Central Coast Watercolour Society are given first preference.
You will need your own materials. A materials list will be sent out prior to the class.

CCWS members are given priority for workshop bookings up to two months before the start date, ensuring they have the first chance to secure their spot. After this period, registration opens to non-members as well.
The cost is $200 for the 2 days. Non members can apply from 27 April for June Course and from 12 October for December course.
