Chan Dissanayake is a watercolour artist, tutor and judge. He is known for a sensitive, expressive approach that captures mood as much as subject. Working with fluid washes and carefully controlled transparency, his paintings allow light and colour to breath across the paper. Whether depicting landscapes, cityscapes or seascapes, Chan’s water colour style feels both reflective and alive, giving the impression of the subject with as little detail as possible.
In this exciting two day workshop, you will learn the importance and understanding of perspective and proportions, and how to allow the watercolour “to paint itself”. Chan will also incorporate plein air time.
