Barry and Lucy will be showing how they create an expressive portrait of an animal using the medium of watercolour. The workshop will cover such aspects as drawing, colour mixing and the use of expressive brushstrokes to recording the effect of light on the subject. With two tutors, their patience and individual attention will guarantee an enjoyable experience.
Both full time professional artists, Lucy and Barry McCann are a husband and wife team who work largely on a commission basis, and aim to produce quality paintings, with viewer appeal. They teach and produce art in their studio in Armidale, New South Wales but are often travelling to gather subject matter for their paintings or teaching art groups. Barry and Lucy have participated in numerous joint and group exhibitions winning many awards and have been finalists in some of the most prestigious art competitions throughout the world. Their work has been widely exhibited, published, awarded and collected.
The subject matter over the two days will include both landscapes and animals.
The cost is $250 for the 2 days and members can receive a discount by putting in the code.
